Accreditation

Coconino Community College is pleased to maintain accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.

The college demonstrates that it meets HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation and Assumed Practices and is engaged in continuous improvement. There are many kinds of accreditation for colleges and universities in the United States; however, regional accreditation with one of the six organizations authorized by the U.S. Department of Education is the most important to ensure transfer of credits, federal financial aid, and future job prospects. Students who select a community college or university with regional accreditation can expect educational opportunities that meet the high standards of teaching and learning “best practices” in Higher Education and that provide student services to assist students in reaching their career and educational goals.
