CIS 161 - Linux Administration I

Lecture: Four lecture.
This is the first of a two-course series (CIS161 and CIS171) designed to provide students with a working knowledge of Linux. This course is aligned with the CompTIA Linux+ certification.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- explain boot processes;
- manage linux storage;
- install system and other software;
- install and manage a sql database;
- manage users and groups;
- create, modify, and redirect files;
- explain server roles and the use of linux devices;
- manage security in a linux environment.
