AJS 250 - Criminal Investigations

Lecture: Three lecture.
Fundamentals of criminal investigation. Examines theory of criminal investigation, crime scene procedures, case preparation, basic and advanced interviewing techniques, and basic investigative techniques.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
demonstrate by their scores on written assignments and exams, mastery of the basic business skills necessary to perform the following:
- problem solving techniques;
- instruction interpretation;
- understanding of criminal justice vocabulary;
- explain the structure of the criminal investigative process;
- how the AJS system develop classification of crimes according to crime scene evidence;
- describe the management and organizational processes which affect criminal investigative concerns.
