ENG 271 - Creative Writing: Poetry
Credits: 3
Lecture: Three lecture.
Extensive practice in writing and revising poetry, with emphasis on critical analysis of published models and students’ poems.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- analyze and evaluate poetic works;
- identify techniques used in writing poetry;
- apply these techniques in their own work;
- critique their own work, as well as work of peers;
- examine marketing strategies and identify markets for their work;
- assemble portfolio of revised writing.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 101
Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
