Lecture: Three lecture.
Fundamentals of speech communication emphasizing public speaking skills and improved self-confidence. Performance based, improving speaking skills.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- develop and demonstrate active listening skills;
- use research tools to organize information from a variety of sources;
- use technology to prepare and deliver speeches;
- deliver a variety of oral/signed presentations;
- use appropriate language to express ideas;
- demonstrate poise during public speaking;
- critique content and delivery of presentations using a variety of formats;
- participate in group activities;
- identify and apply fundamentals of communication theory;
- identify and apply reasoning skills.
