EGR 188 - Electrical Engineering I Credits: 4 Lecture: Three lecture. Lab: Three lab.
Introduces electrical engineering including DC and AC circuit analysis, operational amplifiers, transducers, transformers, and AC power. Simulation of simple circuits using circuit analysis software.
Course Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- apply fundamental electrical circuit concepts for voltage, charge, current, power and energy and their interrelationships and units to engineering solutions;
- solve problems associated with dc and ac linear circuits including independent and dependent sources, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and operational amplifiers;
- utilize circuit analysis and design concepts;
- develop and construct circuits using circuit analysis software.
Pre/Corequisite(s): MAT 220.
