AJS 101 - Introduction to Administration of Justice Credits: 3 Lab/Lecture: Three lecture.
Organization and jurisdiction of local, state, and federal law enforcement, judicial and corrections systems, terminology, and constitutional limitations of the system. Course Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- demonstrate problem solving techniques;
- demonstrate instruction interpretation;
- demonstrate an understanding of criminal justice vocabulary;
- explain the structure of the American criminal justice system(s);
- describe how the AJS system(s) is(are) financed for growth and development throughout the United States;
- describe the management and organizational processes which allow AJS systems to be successful;
- describe the impact which juvenile justice and corrections has had on the American public.
General Education: Social and Behavioral Sciences.
