CIS 240 - Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows Server

Lab/Lecture: Four lecture.

Installing, configuring, managing and supporting Microsoft Windows environment. This course helps to prepare students to take the Microsoft Certified Professional exam for implementing a Microsoft Windows Server Environment.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
  1. perform an attended installation of Windows Server;
  2. deploy service packs;
  3. monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and control access to printers;
  4. monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and control access to files, folders, and shared folders;
  5. configure driver signing options;
  6. monitor and optimize usage of system resources;
  7. optimize disk performance;
  8. manage and optimize availability of System State data and user data;
  9. recover System State data and user data;
  10. monitor, configure, and troubleshoot disks and volumes;
  11. configure data compression;
  12. monitor and configure disk quotas;
  13. install, configure, and troubleshoot shared access;
  14. install, configure, and troubleshoot network protocols;
  15. implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot policies in a Windows environment;
  16. implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot local accounts;
  17. implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Account Policy.
