Associate of Business (ABUS)


This degree is intended for students who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate program in business or a related field. It provides a foundation of general education, along with courses chosen to help fulfill lower-division baccalaureate requirements.

 

Program Outcomes


Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. communicate to increase knowledge, foster understanding or promote change in others.
  2. critically evaluate issues, ideas, artifacts or events.
  3. distinguish appropriate interaction in a variety of cultural and societal contexts.
  4. display effective personal accountability skills, including work ethic, time management and teamwork.
  5. advocate for themselves or others.
  6. demonstrate competence in degree core.

  • Credits: 4 MAT 211 may fulfill a requirement in the Quantitative Reasoning category.
  • AND

  • 20-25 credits of courses numbered 100 or above which transfer to Arizona state universities as equivalent,departmental elective credit, or general elective credit tototal 60 credits for the degree.

    At least 12 of these credits must be taken in the ACC,BUS, or ECN prefixes.

    University majors require certain lower-division courses; these are the courses that should be taken as the degree core. To select the most appropriate courses for your program of study, create an educational plan with an advisor.
