Hospitality Management, Lodging and Guest Experience Management (AAS)



This degree prepares students for supervisory-level careers in hotels, resorts, and a wide range of lodging operations. Students develop skills in customer service leadership, revenue and occupancy management, front office and housekeeping operations, technology systems, and brand experience strategies. Emphasis is placed on enhancing the guest journey from arrival to departure, maintaining service excellence, and implementing operational practices that support profitability and team performance.

Graduates are equipped for immediate employment in hospitality roles such as front desk supervisor, rooms division supervisor, guest services coordinator, or operations lead, and are prepared to pursue advanced study in hospitality or business management. This emphasis supports career pathways across Northern Arizona’s growing tourism industry and global lodging and resort sectors.

 

Program Outcomes


  1. Management Skills:  Determine and evaluate the management techniques and skills that promote a more productive and creative workplace.
  2. Technology:  Identify and efficiently utilize the needed productivity software for the business sectors.
  3. Communication: Compose and deliver clear and effective communication individually and in groups.
  4. Critical/Quantitative thinking: Create solutions for business situations that require critical thinking and quantitative analytical skills.
