Designed to provide the foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in American Sign Language Interpreting or within the Deaf community. This certificate is aligned to the AA American Sign Language and Interpreting Studies degree.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Manage complicated interactions using expanded American Sign Language grammatical structures.
- Analyze ASL and English discourse to create and evaluate translations across languages (ASL and English) for faithfulness to the source text.
- Demonstrate an awareness of diversity within the Deaf Community and apply this knowledge in ethical decision-making scenarios.
