The Intermediate certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in various hotel and restaurant business environments. The students will receive training in fundamental computer skills, hotel and restaurant practices, accounting, and management practices, giving them an understanding of the varied responsibilities and skills necessary for employment in hotel and restaurant support positions.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- perform basic accounting practices;
- effectively operate a computer system and its peripheral devices;
- acquire a working knowledge of the hospitality industry;
- acquire a strong working knowledge of front desk operations;
- acquire a working knowledge of the human and physical resources related to property management;
- demonstrate application of basic management practices;
- and demonstrate the use of hotel and restaurant information management systems.
