Construction and Industry Trades (AAS)

This degree will prepare the student with the trade skills related to a career in trades fields. Completion of this degree involves completion of all apprenticeship and or union-related qualifications requirements of “step” trade work experience as well as all union-related classroom training required to achieve “Journeyman” status. This final degree is only available to Certified Journeymen in the trades areas who provide appropriate documentation of their completed apprenticeship.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- work safely and productively in construction industry according to OSHA standards;
- utilize basic math skills for trades industry;
- read and interpret blue prints and construction drawings in the trades;
- demonstrate acquired knowledge and ability in all appropriate areas of their trade;
- apply general education knowledge and skills in the trade environment.
General Education: 19 credits
All general education coursework must be selected from the approved AGEC list.
