ART 279 - Painting Workshop
Credits: 2
Lab/Lecture: Two lecture.
A course for students interested in further developing artistic expression and skills in order to pursue personal artistic goals.
Course Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- establish personal goals for their work during the semester;
- produce a body of work in media of their choice that explores the media and themes of interest to the student;
- participate in class critiques of student work;
- examine and discuss with the class the work of artists relevant to their course goals;
- demonstrate development of skills in material use and personal expression as they address the goals established by the student at the beginning of the semester.
Prerequisite(s): ART 190 or ART 194
Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
