FIT 102 - Pilates Credits: 1 Lab/Lecture: Three Lab.
Introduction to the Pilates method for improving flexibility, strength and total body conditioning. Course Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- utilize the terminology of basic Pilates technique;
- demonstrate correct form when executing basic Pilates exercises;
- execute proper breathing techniques while performing various exercises;
- improve initial levels of core muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility;
- and improve posture and balance with good spinal alignment.
Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
