Computer Technology
Designed to prepare students for computer technology positions in the IT field. The program introduces students to a variety of topics including computer basics, programming, databases, networking, security, and modern operating system administration. Students can also choose a focus area by selecting a variety of elective courses to expand their knowledge in cybersecurity, cloud computing, servers, programming, or a specific hands-on learning experience through an internship. Many courses in the program align directly with industry-standard certifications. Program Outcomes Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: - use appropriate technological terminology for specific audiences.
- apply technical computing skills within a specialized field of Information Technology.
- be prepared to take industry certification exams.
- apply fundamental principles and practices in computer programming.
General Education: 19-24 credits
All General Education coursework must be selected from the approved Arizona General Education Curriculum. College Composition (6-8)
