The Associate of Applied Science in Sustainable Green building is designed to educate students comprehensively on the many subjects related to Green Building Categories and related Environmental and occupant issues, Energy Efficiencies and Sustainable Building design considerations.

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will:
- Develop an understanding of the core concepts and categories of sustainability and green building.
- Gain fundamental knowledge of environmental issues, especially related to the construction industry.
- Demonstrate the knowledge of soils composition needed for food production.
- Gain basic knowledge and concepts of green construction.
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of construction methodology.
- Apply basic construction safety for trades.
- Gain fundamental knowledge in building drafting, design, layout and auto CAD.
- Develop an understanding of a variety of alternative construction techniques.
- Determine proper processes for energy analysis of buildings and related performance measures.
- Determine the proper use for sustainable materials and resource use efficiencies.
- Design and develop a verity of passive and active solar systems
- Gain the fundamental knowledge needed for renewable energy generation.
- Apply the fundamentals of sustainability to projects and industry related checklist certifications.
General Education: 22 credits
All general education coursework must be selected from the approved AGEC list. College Composition (6-8)
