FIT 210 - Yoga II Credits: 1 Lab/Lecture: Three Lab.
Intermediate studies in Yoga including yoga postures, breathing, history, and philosophy. Includes study into various yoga styles including, but not limited to gentle/restorative, flow, yin, Siyananda, and Kripalu. Course Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- demonstrate increased flexibility, improved coordination and balance;
- discuss the history and philosophy of yoga practice;
- demonstrate a variety of asanas covered through the course of the semester;
- demonstrate a variety of yoga breathing techniques;
- and demonstrate knowledge of various yoga styles and philosophies.
Prerequisite(s): FIT 111 or consent from Instructor Grading Option: May be taken for S/U credit.
